Planning an adventurous international trip for your family can feel overwhelming, especially when you’re busy juggling work, school calendars, and the daily chaos of family life. That’s why I’ve partnered with G Adventures and National Geographic Family Journeys to create something truly special: a fully-guided, community-based, expertly curated family group trip through Costa Rica that you can simply show up and enjoy.

This 9-day itinerary is packed with experiences designed to connect families with nature, culture, and each other. You’ll zipline through the rainforest canopy, soak in natural volcanic hot springs, hike wildlife-rich trails, and spot toucans, sloths, and howler monkeys. You’ll learn about conservation from local experts, visit a wildlife rescue center, and meet Costa Rican families who will share their stories and traditions.

Best of all? Everything is taken care of. From accommodations and activities to guides, transfers, and most meals. You won’t have to lift a finger. I’ll be traveling with my own family, and we’ve teamed up with trusted on-the-ground partners to ensure the trip is smooth, safe, and full of joy.

This journey is designed specifically for families with at least one child between ages 7–17 at the time of travel. Kids will love the hands-on experiences, and parents will appreciate the expert guidance and meaningful pace.
